This week we hit 17 of 19 predictions.  South Medford beat Roseburg and gave us the only incorrect prediction on the Playoff Roundup.  That means 28 of 32 teams will face the opponent we predicted.

Since some games in week nine didn't matter, it appears many teams gave their usual players a rest while playing others who normally didn't play much.  As a result, the rankings for week nine don't match reality.  Never-the-less, we'll let the numbers tell the story.

Predictions for this week's Round 1 playoffs are the toughest we've had to make.  Four games calculated to be within one point.  (see Top Games)  Furthermore, Metro and Valley teams never played out of League so relative positioning is based on estimates.

SOC - South Medford #1.  Roseburg #2.  North Medford #3.  South Medford will beat Madison.  North Medford has a chance to upset Barlow.  Roseburg faces a tough game against Marshfield and could be eliminated.   

PIL  -  Grant #1, Lincoln #2, Madison #3.  All three may be eliminated in Round 1.  Grant has a chance against Thurston.

IMC - Hermiston #1, Redmond #2, Hood River Valley #3, Summit #4.  All four may be eliminated in Round 1.  Hermiston has the best chance but faces a tough game against North Salem. 

Val - Sprague #1, McNary #2, South Salem #3, North Salem #4. The Valley has two winners, one loser, and a maybe.  Sprague will beat Reynolds.  McNary will beat Redmond.  South Salem will lose to Lake Oswego.  North Salem has a chance against Hermiston.

MHC - Barlow #1, Central Catholic #2, Reynolds #3.  The Mount Hood Conference may only have one survivor in Round 1.  Barlow faces a tough game against North Medford.  Central Catholic will beat Newberg.  Reynolds will lose to Sprague.

Met - Jesuit #1, Beaverton #2, Westview #3.  Metro will have two winners.  Jesuit will beat West Linn.  Beaverton will beat Hood River Valley.  Westview will lose to South Eugene.

MWL - Sheldon #1, South Eugene #2.  Marshfield #3, Thurston #4.  All four teams might survive Round 1 of the playoffs.  Sheldon will stomp Canby.  South Eugene will beat Westview.  Marshfield could beat Roseburg.  Thurston could beat Grant.

TRL - Clackamas #1, Lake Oswego #2, Lakeridge #3, West Linn #4.  The Three Rivers League should have two winners.  Clackamas will beat Summit.  Lake Oswego will beat South Salem.  Lakeridge could lose against Tigard.  West Linn will lose against Jesuit.

Pac-9 - Tigard #1, Tualatin #2, Newberg #3, Canby #4.  The Pac9 faces four tough games.  Tigard should beat Lakeridge.  Tualatin could beat Lincoln.  Newberg could lose against Central Catholic.  Canby will lose against Sheldon.

Best & Worst notes - 

Potential upsets include Marshfield over Roseburg, North Salem over Hermiston, Tualatin over Lincoln, Thurston over Grant, North Medford over Barlow.

The most uneven match ups are South Medford vs. Madison, and Sheldon vs. Canby.

The best teams to miss the playoffs are Southridge and Eagle Point.  Madison #61, earns the prestigious title of worst team to make the playoffs.
